ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's volleyball team (4-8) saw success at the RU Invitational as it won in three straight sets against the Mount Mary University Blue Angels (0-6) before coming away victorious in a five-set thriller over the Silver Lake College Lakers (2-7) on Saturday.
The Rockford University volleyball team returned to the court one final time on Tuesday, October 31 to host the Beloit College Buccaneers (9-16). Tuesday's match was originally scheduled for September 26 but was suspended at 1-1 with Beloit leading 6-1 in the third set when a light crashed on the court. The match was tight throughout and could have gone either way as three of the four sets were decided by three points or less. Unfortunately it was the Bucs who came out on top with a 3-1 win.
The Rockford University women's volleyball team fell in straight sets on the road Thursday night to the Maranatha Baptist University Sabercats (16-14). Although Rockford was unable to win a set, the Regents played the Sabercats tough.
The Rockford University volleyball team took to the court Tuesday night, as they hosted Edgewood College. The Eagles came out soaring and did not look back. RU managed to have some fight left in them as they made it a close third set, but they could not prevail. Rockford dropped three straight sets losing 25-11, 25-15, and 25-23.
