Regents Blanked by St. Mary's


NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Rockford University women's soccer team (1-9) fell to St. Mary's College of Indiana (5-6) on Saturday afternoon. St. Mary's started out hot and never looked back scoring eleven first half goals and tallying one in the second to go on to win 12-0.



  • St. Mary's poured it on Rockford from the opening whistle scoring just 14 seconds into the game.
  • St. Mary's added ten more goals in the first half including a hattrick from Sophie Bubnar to take an 11-0 lead into halftime. 
  • Rockford did much better in the second half defensively as the Regents only allowed one goal.
  • St. Mary's went on to win by a final score of 12-0.



The Rockford University women's soccer team returns to action when it hosts Maranatha on Tuesday, October 2. The match is scheduled for 5 PM.
