RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team (1-4) fell 14-0 on the road Wednesday afternoon to the Dominican University Stars (3-2). The Stars were in control the entire match scoring five goals in the first half and nine in the second en route to the win. Wednesday's match ended Rockford's five-match road trip to begin the 2018 season.
- Dominican broke the scoreless tie 1:07 into the match when Maggie McClure scored off a corner kick.
- The Stars added four more goals in the half to take a 5-0 lead into the intermission.
- Dominican extended its lead with five additional goals in the first 21 minutes of the second half to jump out in front 10-0.
- The Stars would find the back of the net four more times in the half en route to the 14-0 victory.
The RU women's soccer team opens the home portion of its schedule on Sunday, September 16 at home against Monmouth College. The match has a scheduled start time of 2 PM at Sportscore Two.
