Title: Head Coach

Lynn Blevins is entering his first season as the head women's golf coach at Rockford University. Blevins joins the Regents following multiple coaching stops, including the University of Oklahoma, the University of Florida and the University of Iowa. Blevins has been extremely successful throughout his coaching career, coaching multiple conference championship teams, 15 NCAA All-Americans, a Big Ten Champion, numerous future PGA Tour professionals and has been named both the Big Tean and SEC Coach of the Year

Blevins began his coaching career in 1979 as the head men's coach at his alma mater, the University of Oklahoma. In his first season, the Sooners finished third in the Big 8 after finishing eighth in the previous year. He coached there for two seasons before moving on to the University of Florida.

Blevins then spent seven seasons at Florida, where he led the Gators to five straight NCAA Tournament appearances, the 1985 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship and a third place finish at the NCAA Championships. He was also voted the SEC Coach of the Year in 1984-85. His teams won 14 tournaments including five in 1984. Blevins coached 13 All-Americans at Florida including David Jackson, Scott Dunlap, Dudley Hart, Chris DiMarco, Pat Bates and Steve Lamontange.  

From there Blevins went to the University of Iowa in 1990 for four seasons. In 1992 Blevins led the Hawkeyes to their first and only Big Ten Golf Championship. He was also selected as the Big Ten Coach of the Year in 1991-92. While at Iowa, Blevins coached All-American Brad Klapprott, who was 1991-92 Big Ten Champion, and All-American Sean McCarty, who was named the BIG 10 Freshman of the Year. 

From 1995-2011 Blevins became President and CEO of Buffalo Golf Group, Inc., which owned, operated and managed multiple golf facilities in Oklahoma and Missouri; as well as provided consulting work for others across the country. 

In 2009 Blevins was asked to start the golf programs for Rogers State University, an NAIA School in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was successful in taking both programs into the Top 20 in the country, leading the Hillcats to nine tournament wins in five seasons and helping the school transition to NCAA Division II in 2013.    

In 2014 Blevins became the head men's and women's coach at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. In 2017 the women's team won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship for the first time in school history. The men's team has been ranked both regionally and nationally every season and finished a school best second in the 2018 RMAC Championship. 

Blevins graduated from Sooner High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma in 1977.

Blevins played collegiately at the University of Oklahoma from 1974-77 and was all BIG 8 in 1976 and 1977. He went on to play on both the European PGA Tour and the PGA Tour. He is a Class A PGA Member.
