The Rockford University baseball team had a pair of players receive all-conference recognition from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Thursday morning. Sophomore pitcher Zachary Jones (Rockford, Ill.) and senior shortstop Austin Smith (Peru, Ill.) were both voted Second Team all NACC. This marks the first time either has received NACC postseason honors.
The Rockford University baseball team (17-20, 11-9 NACC) did its part to earn a postseason berth on Saturday by sweeping the Lakeland University Muskies (8-23, 4-16 NACC), 10-0 and 7-5. Rockford will now need to wait until the conclusion of Sunday's slate of NACC action to see if it earns one of the two remaining spots in the conference tournament. The Regents will need either Benedictine to lose both of its games to MSOE or Concordia Wisconsin to lose one of its two games to Edgewood in order to earn a postseason berth.
The Rockford University baseball team (15-8, 9-7 NACC) played host for a game two, originally halted in the top of the tenth inning with bases loaded and one out against the Concordia University of Wisconsin Falcons (19-13, 9-7 NACC). Despite Rockford smashing two home runs in extra innings the Regents fell in an 11-9 heartbreaker in the thirteenth inning.
The Rockford University baseball team (15-17, 9-6 NACC) took another step closer to securing a spot in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament on Sunday when the Regents split their two games with tenth-ranked Concordia University Chicago (27-9, 14-4 NACC). Rockford played two very strong games against the first-place Cougars, as the Regents trailed for just one inning the entire day. Rockford was in control for the vast majority of the opener and picked up an impressive 5-2 win before falling late in game two by a final score of 7-6.

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University baseball team (14-16, 8-5 NACC) faced off against the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors (10-21, 7-9 NACC) on Saturday afternoon as RU honored its seniors. Those seniors being honored were Thomas Bolen (Tucson, Ariz.), Kraemer Brandt (Elk Grove, Ill.), Nathan Burris (Oglesby, Ill.), Chris Carlson (Schaumburg, Ill.), Bryce Hinkelman (Ottawa, Ill.), Spencer Lentz (Stillman Valley, Ill.), Dalton Morris (Somonauk, Ill.), Austin Smith (Peru, Ill.) and Michael Tosado (Chicago, Ill.).
LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University baseball team (13-14) took a hiatus from conference play as they hosted a strong University of Chicago Maroons team (19-9) on Wednesday night. Rockford hung around for most of the game until the Maroons started to sneak ahead late in the game. Rockford went on to drop the single contest by a score of 9-4.
