ROCKFORD, Ill. - Rockford University starting pitcher Zack Jones (Rockford, Ill.) has agreed to pitch this summer for the Rockford Rivets of the Northwoods League. This marks the second straight year Jones will be pitching in the highly-competitive Northwoods League, after spending last summer as a member of the Bismark Larks.
Jones looks to continue his success on the mound as a member of the Rivets, following an incredible junior season at Rockford University, where he was named the 2019 NACC Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-NACC. He finished the season 5-1 with a 1.68 earned run average, a 0.87 WHIP, a .167 batting average against and 85 strikeouts in just 64.1 innings pitched.
The Rockford Rivets begin their 2019 season with a four-game homestand starting on Tuesday, May 28. For more information about the Rivets, including their full 2019 schedule, please visit their official website. To purchase tickets to any Rivets home game please click here.
