Lawler Selected Honorable Mention All-NAC

ROCKFORD, Ill. - On Wednesday Rockford College senior Nicole Lawler (Pearl City, Ill./Pearl City) received postseason honors for the second time in her career. Lawler was selected as Honorable Mention All-NAC for her play during the 2012 women's volleyball season by the coaches in the Northern Athletics Conference. The senior was also selected Honorable Mention All-NAC during the 2010 season.

Lawler had a great senior season for the Regents finshing at or near the top of the team in nearly every statistical category. She led the team in kills (242), solo blocks (21), block assists (20) and total blocks (41). The Pearl City native was second on the team in service aces (25) and digs (337). Thoughout the season Lawler recorded six double-doubles for the Regents including back-to-back matches with 15 kills and 19 digs and recorded a season-high 21 digs the following week. Lawler finished her 4-year career as a Regent with 876 kills, 115 service aces, 1,000 digs, and 113 total blocks.

The women's volleyball team finished the 2012 season in 12th place in the Northern Athletics Conference with a 5-25 overall record.
