Erin Ryczek Named Honorable Mention All-NAC

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Northern Athletics Conference released its all-conference awards on Tuesday afternoon. Junior guard Erin Ryczek (South Beloit, Ill./Hononegah) was the lone selection from the Regents women's basketball team. Ryczek was voted honorable mention All-NAC by the coaches in the conference.

Ryczek was the team's best player in her first season in a Rockford College uniform. After a slow start to the season, Ryczek really began to play well once conference play began. The junior scored in double-digits in 15 of the team's final 21 games. She played perhaps her best game of the season in an impressive road victory over Lakeland College. Ryczek scored a season-high 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a quality road victory over the Muskies. Her solid finish to the season resulted in Ryzcek finishing as the team's leading averaging 11.1 points per game and finished second on the team in rebounding and assists with 5.7 rebounds per game and 1.8 assists per game. Ryczek's 3 double-doubles over the final month and a half of the season was tops for any Regent this season and helped to led the Regents to three consecutive wins to close out the regular season and earn a berth in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament.

The women's basketball team finished the 2012-13 season with an 8-18 record and qualified for the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament for the first time since the 2010-11 season. The Regents have now made the NAC Tourament in five of the seven seaons since joining the
