ROCKFORD, Ill. - For the second time today senior shortstop Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) has been voted Third Team All-Midwest Region, this time by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Logemann is one of just thirteen NACC baseball players to be selected to one of the three all-region teams. This also marks the second time in his career that Logemann has earned all-region status from the ABCA, with the other coming back in 2013 when he was named Third Team All-Midwest Region as well.
Cole Logemann finished his collegiate career as one of the more decorated players in recent history. During his time in a Regent uniform, Logemann was named First Team All-NACC twice, Second Team All-NACC once, Third Team All-Midwest Region twice and was voted the NACC Freshman of the Year for the 2013 season. This season Logemann was equally as impressive finishing in the top twelve in the NACC in seven categories, including five in the top ten. At the end of the regular season Logemann was fifth in batting average (.407), sixth in slugging percentage (.614), sixth in hits (56), seventh in on-base percentage, tied for second in triples (3), tied for eleventh in home runs (4) and tied for twelfth in doubles (12). Additionally, Logemann is now the RU career leader with 51 doubles.
