Chris Senn and Kyle Pisano Earn All-Midwest Region Honors

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University baseball team continued to pile up postseason awards as the Regents had a pair of players named to the All-Midwest Region Teams on Monday. Senior second baseman Chris Senn (Victorville, Calif./Silverado) was selected Second Team All-Region while senior pitcher Kyle Pisano (Peru, Ill./LaSalle-Peru) earned Third Team All-Region honors. This marks the second consecutive year that Rockford has had multiple players earn all-region honors.

Senn's Second Team All-Midwest Region comes just one week after being selected First Team All-NACC. The Victorville native anchored down the middle of the Rockford lineup playing in all but one game. Senn led the Regents in nearly every major offensive statistical category including at bats (149), hits (52), runs (17), doubles (11), RBI (31), batting average (.349) and slugging percentage (.477). Senn is the first Regent to ever be named Second Team All-Region by, and only the second player to earn higher than Third Team All-Region honors.

Pisano also earned his first career All-Midwest Region selection when he was named Third Team All-Midwest Region. It is the second postseason award that Pisano has received this season as one week prior, he was named Second Team All-NACC. The senior right-hander finished the season ranked in the top nine in the conference in every major statistical category. He was tied for first in wins (6), fourth in ERA (2.26), sixth in strikeouts (44) and tied for ninth in innings pitched (63.2).
