MILWAUKEE, Wis. - This weekend the Northern Athletics Conference held its seventh annual Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Both the Regents men's and women's teams scored points to place in the meet. The men's team scored one point and finished in an eighth place tie. The women's team scored eleven points and finished ninth.

LOVES PARK, Ill. - One day after playing at Division I University of Illinois-Chicago, the Rockford College baseball team returned home to host #18 Illinois Wesleyan University. Prior to Tuesday's game Rockford had won ten of its last twelve games including eight straight. However, the Titans are one of the top teams in Illinois and proved it on Wednesday defeating Rockford 12-2.

ROCKFORD, Ill. - Looking to secure a birth in the Northern Athletics Conference tournament, the Rockford College men's basketball team hosted the Egdewood College Eagles on senior day at the Seaver center. Junior forward David Dixon (Bellwood, Ill./St. Joseph) got the Regents started early scoring the first 4 point for Rockford as the Regents took a 4-2 lead. The 1st half was tight until Edgewood knocked down back to back 3-pointers with under a minute remaining to take a 34-28 lead at the break.

Regents Climb Past Crusaders in Overtime
ROCKFORD, Ill. - Coming off an overtime victory, the Rockford College men's basketball team was put to the test once again against visiting Maranatha Baptist Bible College as they look to climb the Northern Athletic Conference standings. Despite taking a quick 4-0 lead off a basket by junior guard Arthur Miller IV (Burlington, Wis./Burlington), the Regents fell behind 16-6 with 12:46 remaining in the 1st half. Rockford used a 14-0 to storm back and take a 20-16 lead due in large part to freshman guard John O'Bryan (Richmond, Ky./Madison Central) who knocked down two 3-pointers and a layup during that stretch. The Regents entered the half with a 36-30 lead despite shooting 3-10 from the free throw line.

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford College womens basketball came into Wednesday nights game looking for back to back wins for the first time this season. After coming off a win against MSOE, the Regents played host to 3rd place Concordia University Chicago. CUC got on the board first and jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead before the Regents would respond with a jumper from junior forward Jessica Bjerning (Wauconda, Ill./Mundelein). The Regents were able to tie the game at 6-6 with four straight points from junior guard Erin Ryczek (South Beloit, Ill./Hononegah) but that would be as close as the Regents got to taking the lead all night.

ROCKFORD, Ill. - It had been nearly a month since the Regents last home game as Rockford welcomed the Northern Athletic Conference leading Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors to the Seaver Center Tuesday night. JOLIET, Ill. - In their final game of 2012, the Regents men's basketball team fell on the road to the University of St. Francis Saints. GREENCASTLE, Ind. - It had been a difficult month of December for the Regents women's basketball team as they had gone winless entering Saturday afternoon's game against the Spalding University Golden Eagles. Both teams shot very well with Rockford shooting 60% from the field and Wisconsin Lutheran shooting 53.6%. ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford College Regents football team ended the 2012 season with a 47-20 loss to the Aurora University Spartans on senior day at Sam Greeley Field on Saturday. Women's Tennis Completes Home Portion of Schedule
ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Regnts women's tennis team played its final home contest on Wednesday night against the Concordia University Chicago Cougars. Although the ladies lost the dual meet 6-3 to the Cougars, it was a highly competitve meet. Rockford won two singles matches and its first doubles match of the 2012 season.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Both the men's and women's cross country teams headed south on Friday to Augustana College to run in one of the largest meets they will be involved in this season. The Brissman/Lundeen Invitational consisted on 34 teams and 461 runners for the men's competition and 32 teams with 397 runners in the women's competition.

Regents and Muskies Battle to a 1-1 Tie After Double Overtime
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – The men’s soccer team opened up the Northern Athletics Conference portion of its schedule on Saturday when they squared off against the Lakeland College Muskies. The Regents were looking to get rid of the bitter taste of last year’s game and avenge the heartbreaking 3-2 loss in overtime. The Regents have not defeated the Muskies since they joined the Northern Athletics Conference in 2006.

Regents Compete at Falcon Invitational
MEQUON, Wis. – The Rockford College Men's & Women's cross country teams competed in the 21stannual Falcon Invite hosted by Concordia University Wisconsin. The Falcon invite is one of the larger meets in the area that consists of both Division I and Division III institutions. On the men's side there were a total of 15 Division III teams with 164 runners competing. On the women's side there were 19 teams with a total of 190 runners.

Volleyball Drops Two at UW-Whitewater Triangular
WHITEWATER, Wis. - For the third straight season the Regents traveled to up into Wisconsin to take part in a triangular hosted by the University of Wisconsin Whitewater Warhawks. Rockford was scheduled to play two games on Thursday with the first coming against #10 ranked UW-Whitewater and the second against Carroll University. It turned out to be a difficult day for the Regents as they lost both matches in straight sets.

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The men's soccer team was looking to level its record before heading into the conference portion of its schedule when it welcomed the Knox College Prairie Fire to Sam Greeley Field on Sunday afternoon. It was the final game the Regents 3-game homestand and the second straight season the Regents and Prairie Fire have met with the Rockford winning the matchup last season 3-0.

AURORA, Ill. - The Regents volleyball team hit the road for the second straight weekend to take part in yet another early season tournament. This weekend the team took part in the eight team Jim Coleman Memorial Invitational, hosted by Aurora University. Rockford played two matches on Friday and then two more on Saturday to round out its weekend.

Duhawks Shut Down Regents
DUBUQUE, Iowa - After being shut out it its home opener, the Rockford College football team took to the road looking to even its record and pick up its first win of the season. The Regents lined up against the Duhawks of Loras College who were also shutout in their season opener last week. The two teams have squared off in each of the last two years with Loras winning both matchups including a 48-17 victory for the Duhawks last season.

Cross Country Opens Season at Home in Dual Meet
ROCKFORD - Ill. - For the first time in decades the Regents cross country teams opened their seasons in front of their home fans with a race around the Rockford College campus. The course was set up for runners to be able to make loops on the outer edge of campus around the athletic facilities. The women's ran first around a 2.5 mile course followed by the men running a 3.5 mile course.

Women's Tennis Concludes its Opening Weekend
MADISON, Wis. - The Regents women's tennis team concluded its three match opening weekend on Sunday with a trip up to Madison to play the Edgewood College Eagles. It was a very difficult weekend for Rockford as the ladies opened with three matches, all on the road, in just over a twenty-four hour time period. Rockford fell in all three matches losing at Lakeland and at Marian on Saturday and then at Edgewood on Sunday morning dropping them to 0-3 on the season.

ROCKFORD, Ill. – On Thursday, D3baseball.com released its inaugural All-Region Teams for the 2012 season. D3baseball.com has been releasing All-American Teams for the past five season, but had not selected All-Region teams until this season. Rockford College senior shortstop Jimmy Dercks (Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna) was selected as the 1st Team All-Midwest Region shortstop. Dercks becomes the fourth Regent student-athlete to earn postseason recognition from d3baseball.com and the first since the spring 2010 season.

Baseball Places 3 on All-NAC Teams
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford College baseball team had three players receive postseason recognition from the Northern Athletics Conference late Tuesday morning. For the second consecutive year shortstop Jimmy Dercks (Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna) received 1st Team All-NAC honors. Utility player Jake Nicholson (Stillman Valley, Ill./Stillman Valley) was named 2nd Team All-NAC and second baseman Ryne Billesbach (Belvidere, Ill./North) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. The baseball team has now had at least three student-athletes receive All-Conference awards every year since the formation of the Northern Athletics Conference for the 2007 season.

Ubiparipovic Earns Rockford's First NAC Postseason Tennis Honor
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Northern Athletics Conference released its post season awards for men’s tennis on Tuesday morning with the Regents receiving their first ever All-NAC award winner. Sophomore Mladen Ubiparipovic (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) was named to the All-Northern Athletics Conference Singles Team. He is the lone Regent to receive All-NAC honors since Rockford College joined the conference in the fall of 2006. Freshman Alex Kadamian (Rockford, Ill./Hononegah) was also recognized by the conference and named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Baseball Ends Season at NAC Tournament
FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Rockford College baseball team had high aspirations this weekend as it prepared for the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. However, the Regents knew it would be a challenge with the new six team format and the difficult path ahead for them. Rockford opened the tournament against the Concordia University Chicago Cougars knowing if they lost they would have to play again right away, most likely against the Aurora University Spartans.

Baseball Prepares for the NAC Tournament
ROCKFORD, Ill. – Thursday marks the start of the 2012 Northern Athletics Conference Baseball Tournament. The Regents finished the regular season in a tie for second place with a 23-16 overall record and a 17-5 NAC record. After all the tiebreakers were determined, the Regents received the #4 seed in the tournament and will play #3 seed, Concordia University Chicago (30-10, 17-5), on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. All of Rockford’s games will be played at Herr-Baker Field in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
